Joseph is a co-founder and co-president of The Contrada Group at ReMax Power Realtors. He has earned the National Association of Realtor's Green Designation and has also completed training as a Darryl Davis Real Estate Sales Specialist.  
 
Some Background
 
After undergraduate and graduate linguistic and literary studies in the United States and Germany, Joseph worked as a freelance writer, copyeditor and translator. He then moved on to several executive positions in Manhattan corporations. This was followed by employment in non-profit institutions while dedicating himself to the study of Eastern and Western spiritual classics and to exploring meditation and energy healing practices.
 
Joseph found the right avenue of expression for the wisdom and knowledge he had acquired when, in 1994, he founded the Aquarian Institute together with his wife Petra. They designed, organized and facilitated scores of weekend seminars dedicated to meditation and healing in major cities throughout Germany. During this time, Joseph also lectured and wrote on topics related to spirituality, comparative religion and esotericism. Further, he undertook a prescribed course of training in anatomy, physiology and psychology; the study of psychological and physical pathologies; differential diagnosis; emergency medical care, medical laboratory analysis; etc. After passing written and oral examinations, Joseph became licensed to practice medicine and psychotherapy in Germany as a “Heilpraktiker”, a naturopathic practitioner. He built a successful practice that offered a broad palate of complementary medical modalities.
 
Joseph’s commitment to environmental conservation began in his teens and, since then, he has educated himself on environmental issues and supported initiatives to promote environmental protection and healing. Joseph began working in the environmental health department of a government agency in 2004. While there, he took mathematics, economics and environmental science courses at a local college. He also received New York State public health and HazMat (hazardous materials) response training.

Robert S. Rubin (Bob) was born in New Rochelle, and he was raised and educated through high school in Mamaroneck. He graduated from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, with a B.S. in Business Administration. Bob's professional life over decades has provided him with the knowledge and practical experience to handle any and all residential and commercial real estate transactions. Bob’s real estate career has included:

v Renting and selling luxury apartments, first as a rental agent, then as manager of a thousand-unit Mitchell-Lama project in Brooklyn.

v Office leasing brokering for seven years at Helmsley-Spear Inc., where his accomplishments included brokering the British Airways headquarters at 245 Park Avenue (80,000 square feet).

v Serving as senior account director for nine years at Environmental Research & Development, where Bob was instrumental in the company’s expansion from a five-person firm to the third-largest interior architectural and corporate relocation consulting organization in America, employing over one hundred people in New York, Beverly Hills and London, and handling over four million square feet of space. This exceptional growth was achieved primarily through his obtaining access to the senior officers of major corporations and, with his staff, providing accurate and detailed cost and functional analyses of their office needs.

v Involvement as a partner or as the broker in the purchase, sale and management of multifamily apartment houses; in the sale of many luxury residences both in New York City and in the suburbs; and in the sale and leasing of corporate offices. He also acted as broker for about two hundred million dollars worth of multiple residences, including Castle Village in Manhattan (640 units), now a co-op, as part of his representation for the late Sarah Korein. In addition, Bob acted recently as owner's representative in the construction of a 50,000-square-foot specialty high school for the City of New York, created out of two continuous floors in a 100-year-old historic loft building. This project involved many complex and special construction and technical elements that required both precise coordination and a rigid completion schedule.

Finally, Bob Rubin's avocation is architectural and social history, and he has frequently conducted tours of the New York area, both for relocating corporate officials and for real estate clients.
